The DBA XD 4000 series brake discs are cross drilled for maximum cooling and comfort plus they are manufactured from a high carbon cast iron alloy, a material much more resistant to fatigue under high temperature conditions, to help prevent cracking the 4000 series also undergo heat treatment to alleviate manufacturing stresses this also prolongs the life of the brake discs this is known as TSP (Thermal Stability Profiling).
The discs are also painted to prevent unsightly corrosion and also marked in thermographic paint so the user is able to visualise the temperature the brake discs are being subject to, this aids in selecting the correct brake pad materials.
The 4000 series brake discs are suitable for everyday road use, fast road use and track days.
